Inaugural lecture by Santiago Moreno-Bromberg, 02.03.2020

You are warmly invited to the inaugural lecture of PD Dr. Santiago Moreno-Bromberg:

Of money and other daemons

In his presentation, PD Dr. Santiago Moreno-Bromberg will illustrate the duality between abstract mathematical concepts, like variational calculus, and concrete ones, such as money and economic behaviour. This will ensue via a bird's-eye overview of nonlinear pricing under asymmetric information.

Santiago Moreno-Bromberg holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver). He worked as a post-doc in Humbold University-Berlin and at the University of Zurich, where he received his Habilitation in 2019. He is currently a Risk Modelling and Analytics Specialist at UBS Business Solutions AG. His main research interests are financial policies and (market consistent) value maximization of insurance firms, and dynamic contracting in problems of excessive risk taking.

The inaugural lecture is public and will take place in the Aula of the University of Zurich (KOL G-201, Rämistrasse 71, 8006 Zurich) on Monday, March 2, 2020, at 18:15. No reservation is needed.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!
