Below you will find important information regarding the examinations of the INF compulsory program. Please read it carefully.
The INF compulsory program contains the modules Database Systems and Software Engineering (midterm and final exam).
The functional test will take place remotely from 13 to 19 March 2024. Make sure that you install the SEB during this time and familiarize yourself with the functionalities within the functional test. The functional test can be repeated as often as needed.

The mock exam will be held on-site on 20 March 2024 between 18:15 and 20:00. There will be a common mock exam for all modules of the INF compulsory program.
Attendance in the mock exam is mandatory. Students who have not attended the mock exam will not be admitted to the exam and fail the course. If you cannot attend the mock exam due to illness or accident, email support@oec.uzh.ch with a doctor's note.

All exams take place as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) online exams on-site at UZH.
To take the exam, you must use your own laptop (Windows or macOS) equipped with a current Chrome and Firefox browser version. The exam cannot be taken on tablets, nor with Linux.
To take the exam, you are required to install the Safe Exam Browser (SEB). The SEB temporarily puts your computer into a secured mode, which restricts access to unauthorized programs, files and websites. Detailed information on the Safe Exam Browser, its version and a link to download it will be provided at a later stage.
To log in with the SWITCH edu-ID, you need two-factor authentication (2FA). Make sure that you have set up 2FA using an authenticator app and not with SMS. Depending on the room, you may not be able to receive SMS.
You must complete the exam using the Wi-Fi network “uzh-5GHz”. Make sure that your able to connect to this Wi-Fi network before the mock exam.
