During the course of your studies, you are planning to attend language courses and would like to clarify the cases in which credits earned from these can be transferred to your studies.
All language courses that are completed at the UZH and ETH Zurich Language Center automatically appear on the transcript of records.
The credits earned from them can be transferred to the free elective area of your studies, provided that your study program actually includes a free elective area.
Failed attempts at language courses do not count towards the number of permitted failed attempts at the Faculty. They will not appear on the transcript of records.
Credits earned from language courses that are completed at a university during a mobility semester and include an assessment may be transferred to the free elective area.
The language courses must also be listed on the credit-transfer agreement. Please note the procedure for transferring credits from a mobility semester.
