Hinweise zur Modulbuchung HS22 | Notes on the module booking HS22

[English version below]

[English version]

As of HS22, a new module booking system will be introduced. This brings some changes in the booking process and in the applicable regulations. Therefore, below you will find important information regarding the new module booking system. Please read them carefully.

The period for booking HS22 modules will start on 17 August 2022. Please take note of the following binding deadlines relating to modules offered by our Faculty:

Booking and dropping booked modules:
from 17 August 2022 at 10:00
until 11 October 2022 at 24:00

These deadlines are binding. It is neither possible to book additional courses nor to drop already booked modules outside the above-mentioned time frame. Without valid module booking (= examination registration) you will not be admitted to the examinations. For booked modules, it is mandatory that you take the assessments announced in the course catalogue. An unexcused absence will be marked with a grade 1.

Please remember to review your module bookings independently. From HS22 onwards, you will receive a module-specific message to your UZH email address for each transaction made (booking / dropping). It is the student's responsibility to verify the successful booking or dropping of a module.

Changes per HS22 at a glance

Below you will find an overview of all changes in the booking process and in the applicable regulations, which will be introduced in connection with the new module booking as of HS22.

NO LONGER A MODULE LIST
After the module booking deadline there will be NO confirmation email with the list of booked modules. No changes will be possible after the deadline.

NO MORE REBOOKING PERIOD
After the module booking deadline, there will NO longer be a one-week re-booking period. Valid are the modules that have been booked at the end of the module booking period.

We will contact you again one week before the end of the module booking period and make you aware of the upcoming deadline.

NOTES ON SEMINARS IN THE NEW MODULE BOOKING TOOL Most seminars at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics are listed in HS22 as so-called booking modules. Please note that almost all seminars are space-limited, although the booking modules are listed in the course catalogue (VVZ) as «Number of participants: No space restriction».

Please be sure to pay attention to the «Notes» section in the course catalogue (VVZ) directly above «Number of participants»: Here you will find the procedure for registration for the seminar, the type of application or other important information!

Few seminars are displayed as application modules. Here, too, you will find the procedure for registration for the seminar, the application or other important information in the course catalogue (VVZ) under «Notes» and also the number of participants.

OTHER MODULES
In addition to the module booking, some courses also require the registration for exercise groups. Corresponding information can be found in the course catalogue (VVZ) at the modules under «Notes».

FINAL THESES
No module booking is necessary for completing the final thesis. This course work will be booked individually by the Dean's Office after submission of the thesis.

EXCLUSION-RELEVANT MODULES
For each module you will find in the course catalogue (VVZ) under «Component» the indication for which programs the module is a compulsory module. In this way, you can see for which programs a repeated failure is relevant for exclusion.
