Prof. Steve Cicala joins our Faculty
We are pleased to welcome Prof. Steve Cicala, who joined the Department of Economics on 1 June 2026 as a full professor of sustainable economics (Vontobel Foundation Professorship).
He received his PhD from Harvard University in 2013 and subsequently served as an assistant professor at University of Chicago until 2020. He then joined Tufts University, where he was promoted to associate professor in 2021. Prof. Cicala is affiliated with numerous research institutions, including as an Associate Scholar of the Harvard Environmental Economics Program and as a Scholar of the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago.
Prof. Cicala’s research centres on the economics of regulation, particularly in the areas of environmental and energy policy.
