12.02.2019New Head of the Department of Economics: Ralph Ossa

Since February 1, 2019, Ralph Ossa has been the new Head of the Department of Economics. Ossa joined the University of Zurich in 2017 and holds the Professorship of Economics of Globalization and Emerging Markets. His main research interests focus on international trade, economic geography, and economic development. Prior to moving to Zurich, he served on the faculty of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics.

On the occasion of his start at the University of Zurich in 2017 we asked him our "3 Questions to ...". In this interview he explains the decisive factors for choosing the University of Zurich and why working with models is so essential for economics students.
