Investor Psychology and FinTech

Psychology has been shown to be an important factor influencing investor behavior. The digitization of financial services raises numerous new questions related to this link such as how investors react to algorithms, whether they accept advice from machines or how risk can be optimally communicated in a digital way. This lecture addresses some of these questions in the domain of financial advice.

Stefan Zeisberger obtained his PhD in behavioral finance from the University of Münster, Germany with summa cum laude, after which he spent four years as a research associate (Oberassistent) at the University of Zurich until 2014. He continued as an assistant professor at Stony Brook University in the US for two years, and then he returned to Europe to become professor of finance at Radboud University, the Netherlands. Since 2017, he has an additional position at the Department of Banking and Finance of the University of Zurich.

The inaugural lecture is public and will take place in the Aula of the University of Zurich (KOL G-201, Raemistrasse 71, 8006 Zurich) on Monday, October 29, 2018, at 6:15 pm. No reservation is needed.
