Prof. Nyborg new Vice President of the European Finance Association

Prof. Kjell G. Nyborg, Vice Director of the Department of Banking and Finance, has been elected Vice President of the European Finance Association effective as of January 2016. In this role he will actively support the European network for researchers and practitioners in financial management and will act as Program Chair of the 43rd Annual Meeting 2016 in Oslo.

“The Association builds a valuable bridge between academia and practice, providing a platform for professional discussions and facilitating the exchange of know-how at an international level”, says Prof. Nyborg.

He is looking forward to hosting this year’s annual meeting in his home country Norway. “It is both a honor and a responsibility that I take very seriously.” The EFA annual meeting is one of the major academic finance conferences in the world. Prof. Nyborg has enlisted the help of more than 800 academics from universities, central banks, and other institutions from around the world as reviewers to make the conference as strong as possible. The annual meeting will take place August 17-20, 2016.
